Malwina Zajaczkowska is a flute soloist, chamber musician and teacher.
She has followed an unusual career path: her first Master's degree was in Information Technologies, and then she followed her heart and became a professional musician.
Malwina started her flute education when she was 12 years old, at her hometown - Szczecin in Poland.
From 2005 she was a student at the
Academy of Music in Poznan, Poland and completed her
Bachelor's degree in Music in 2008.
From 2009 she has studied at Lemmensinstituut in Leuven, Belgium, where she completed her Master's
degree in 2011.
Malwina is very active in her education and learning at many flute and piccolo workshops,
masterclasses and Flute Festivals, as an active participant or listener, around the Europe including
those of the biggest Master's and the best professors in the flute world.
Currently Malwina is playing in Wind & Symphonic Orchestras around Belgium as freelancer player.
Before she was the member of International Orchestras in Europe as for example Internationale
Junge Orchester Akademie in Germany with who she recorded two CDs.
Malwina loves to play chamber music concerts: with her trio - two piccolos (flutes) and
piano, with harp, with marimba, with guitar, woodwind quintet and other
ensembles, giving with them many concerts [see more in "projects"]. She is a member of Szczecin Flute Quartet. She is playing often solo recitals with piano. She collaborates with
composers, playing the premiere performances of their works.
Malwina has received a lot of prestigious scholarships as from the Ministry of Culture of Poland
and Flemish Government, the Ministry of Culture of Luxembourg, "All Flutes Plus" London and
Mark Rich Foundation Scholarship which was awarded by Sir James Galway to attend his
masterclass (summer 2011) as an active participant.
Since 2010 Malwina is a flute teacher in Belgium. She has pedagogical diploma and many years of experience in teaching flute international students of all ages and levels. Her Brussels Flute Studio is now full of fantastic and enthusiastic students from many countries of the World.
She loves working with talented kids and adult amateurs, sharing with them her passion to the music.
She is preparing her students and motivating them to participate in flute competitions, masterclasses, festivals and studies at university level. Malvina is constantly giving master classes and she sits in jury of competitions for young students.
